Not only was this the last race of the season for the West Coast regional Jet Ski race circuit. But it was also the series overall champions to be crowned. So with that being said here is how our team riders did.
Chris MacClugage —————————————
Chris took it back old school and dominated the Sport Open Spec Class. Chris not only won both motos taking 1st place for the overall that day. Chris was on a new prototype Bullet Racing hull which once again proved to be the fastest ski in the sport class.
This was the only class Chris raced this weekend, his GP ski is still back east since he was doing most of the IJSBA National Tour stops. Chris’s next big focus will be the 2013 IJSBA World Finals in Lake Havasu City during the week of October 5-13 2013.
Chris plans to race in the Pro Ski, Pro Ski GP, and Pro Sport GP classes during the WF!!
Ian Roberts ———————————————–
Ian Roberts was racing in the Pro-Am Ski GP class was able to take a solid 2nd place finish for the day.
For the overall in the series Ian took 7th place for the West Coast. Ian will be hitting the remanding DJSA Nor Cal Races and the 2013 IJSBA World Finals. He’s shooting for top 5 in the Pro Ski GP class at WF.
Ryan Decker ———————————————-
Ryan competing in two classes the first one Am Ski Open in race #3 took the win with a 1st place finish. And race #18 against the big boys in Pro-Am Ski GP he took 5th place.
Giving Ryan the 2013 Series win 1st place overall in Am Ski Open and in Pro Ski GP he takes 4th overall. Ryan is also looking forward to the last big race of the season the 2013 IJSBA World Finals.
Tera Laho ————————————————
Tera has come on strong since her come back. Deciding to play with the boys and really go for it. Tera took 3rd place in Race# 18 Pro-Am Ski GP.
Giving her for the overall in the series in Pro-Am Ski GP for the west coast a 6th overall. Like many of her fellow teammates she also plans to focus and train leading up the 2013 IJSBA World Finals.
Mark Gomez ———————————————
Mark’s been busy on the track in race #3 he took 3rd place in Am Ski Open, Vintage 550 Ski he had some exhaust issues loosing the hood lead him to victory for the win taking 1st place.
In Am Freestyle he was able to pull off a 1st place with his sassy self. For the overall in the series in Am Ski Open 8th place, Am Freestyle 4th, and Vintage 550 Ski 8th. You can catch Mark hitting the 2013 Blowsion Surf Slam in September then off to the 2013 IJSBA World Finals in October.
Brock Austin ———————————————
Brock was set for race #13 Pro-Am Ski Stock took 4th place. and in Race #18 Pro-Am Ski GP he ended up with 8th.
For the overall in the series Brock took the following; Expert Ski Limited 7th place, Pro-Am Ski GP 3rd place, and in Pro-Am Ski Stock 2nd place.
It’s off to Lake Havasu where Brock will be training, and training.. and dialing in skis then before you know it the 2013 IJSBA World Finals will be getting kicked off where Brock hopes to take home another title.
Mike Demauro ——————————————
Mike, Our freestyle Freddy. Mike did pretty good this weekend and threw out the whole series. 550 Vintage Mike claimed a 6th place finish. And in Am Freestyle he took 2nd place. For the overall in the series he ended up in AM freestyle 1st place Overall, and in Vintage 550 Ski 3rd.
Zack Bright ———————————————–
Zack’s giving this racing thing a spin. Zack competed in Race #14 Vintage 500 Ski and kinda got DQ (for not having a 550 lol) so he setteled for a 12th place finish. But For the overall he took 10th in the series. Like fellow team rider Gomez Zack will also be attending the 2013 Blowsion Surf Slam in Pacific City , OR in September looking for a 1st place win!! Zack will end up in Lake Havasu with everyone else at the 2013 IJSBA World Finals in October.
