CHRIS MACCLUGAGE NUMBER 30 PARKER RECAP

CHRIS MACCLUGAGE #30 – PARKER RECAP
WEST COAST NATIONALS, PARKER, ARIZONA USA

Chris MacClugage #30

Liquid Militia Pro Watercraft Racer Chris MacClugage hits the Parker race to test out his newly sponsored RXPX Sea Doo.Chris ran his Stock Race Ski in the Open class. Heading into the first Open Class moto, Nicolas and Macc got crappy starts, Craig Warner was holding the lead ahead of Chris and Nicolas Ruis, PWC racing’s legacy pilots. The battle was on between Ruis and Chris. Nicolas held in front and Chris and he passed the slower racers, once getting black flagged off the track for interference.Once Macc passed the riff-raff, Nic was nowhere in sight…it was time to turn up the RXP-X and see what she wanted to deliver! Macc increased his lap speeds shearing off mad seconds to shine on the SEA DOO. At the end of the race Macc was right behind Ruis, not a bad exchange for a stock boat running in the Opens!

Off to the 2nd Moto Nicolas powered by and Craig Warner was hot behind Macc catching up when Macc was running up on a lagging rider. Once passing the rider, the RXP-X pulled away from Warner until more cross traffic loomed. After Nicolas missed a buoy, they were catching up on him. The trio was trying to pass lapped traffic. Warner was pressuring Macc from the rear, all three headed into a turn challenging at the same time, fighting to get that advantage, Craig was ejected from his race boat. With one lap to go Warner was gaining ground again to catch up to Macc, but to no avail.

“All in all it was a great weekend of testing for my Monster/ Macc Racing/Seadoo RXP-X powered by Riva. I am looking forward to getting in the stock class and kicking some butt on my new Doo…” says Macc.

Chris MacClugage Racing Machine

‘Thank you to the following who help it all happen’.

With this in mind we will be honoring Dick Brewer who for the last fifty years has played a major role in the design of boards that have been used to explore the unlimited possibilities of big wave surfing. His shapes have literally changed the concept of what was needed and he has shared this with the World. Rider Mark Gomez 2nd Overall in Am Ski Open

Mark Gomez literally just back from an excursion in Australia. When he realizes the Parker races are just a few days away. “Still Jet Lagged” says Mark, he is determed to make it to the West coast Nationals in Parker Az and Make it happen. Mark Leaves Parker with a 2nd overall in Am Ski Open. Not bad for having no practice and the uncomfortable feeling of Jet Laggggg.

Rider Ian Roberts west coast nationals from Parker AZ, re cap

Ian Roberts finishes fourth overall in pro am ski GP. Ian had a gnarly yard sale crash during one of his moto’s. It happened on the front stretch, right in front, as he was passing the flagging tower. His steering totally came apart tossing him along the water. “It was just one of those totally random things that just happen”, says Ian. Ian had a solid lead in this race he was pulling away from the pack, and not to mention this was on the last lap. Everyone watching on the Live stream could not believe it, but that’s racing you take the good and the bad. Overall Ian had a great run with a top 5 finish.
