What Sports do you do? Surf, Standup Paddle Surf, Snow Boarding (Kinda expensive), Fishing, and Free Diving (Only back home though can’t see out here)
Tell us a lil about Sam? Well I move out to San Francisco from Hawaii about 7 years ago to work. I know I get the question from everyone “Why did you move out here from Hawaii again?” I tell them the truth. My mom made me go and finish up school because she wanted to get me off my ass and get a real job instead of playing surfing all day.
What sport are you most into? Right now I’m really into Standup Paddle surfing. Being a short boarder all my life I was kinda jaded by Standup, but once I tried it I was having a BLAST! Now that’s my main source of fun in the ocean.
How did you hear or learn about Liquid Militia? I got really lucky. I was looking for a company that was into all aspects of ocean sports (a waterman company) and found Liquid Militia. Liquid covers all aspects of that and more! Now that I’ve met the people behind the scenes (Kyla, Ryan, and Paul) I know that it’s more than that. It’s all about family and being from Hawaii family is important.

How long have you been surfing for? Since I was 15
Favorite spot? Home: Haleiwa, Rocky Point, V’Land, Kaisers, Bowls, Big Rights, and Kewalos
Nor Cal: Pleasure Point, Trees, and anywhere on the Capitola reefs

What do you like best about Liquid Militia? Everyone that’s involved with Liquid Militia! They’re all part of my extended family out here now, and I’m very stoked and proud to day that.

To you what does Liquid Militia mean? To me it means a gathering of people that are underground/grass roots into anything dealing with water sports and family!
